| In memory of James van Amstel... My name is George de Vries, chairman of the Amsterdam Sevens and I speak on behalf of AAC Rugby, Amstelveen Rugby Club and the Amsterdam Sevens. First of all, I would like to offer my sincerest condolences to James' close family and his colleagues at Corso. Almost a week ago I heard the terrible news that James van Amstel/ Big James, our true rugby friend, had passed away. Only the weekend prior, we had enjoyed his 68th birthday and shared much laughter. James first became involved with rugby at the end of the 1970s via Cafe The Musketeers of Rob Adema, winners of the Heineken Sevens in 1978-1979-1980.
